PATHWAYS FOUNDATION FOR PEACE AND HEALING

Pathways Foundation for Peace and Healing is a shamanism-based peace education and healing organization.  Historically, shamans have been viewed as mediators between the ordinary and non-ordinary world. Not merely healers of disease, their concern with restoring balance and harmony to the sociocultural matrix of their people is held to be immensely critical, surpassing all other functions of importance.  Pathways’ faculty offer a variety of workshops on topics related to peacemaking and shamanism as well as consultation to communities, organizations, and businesses. Pathways has brought shamanism based peacemaking to prisons, gangs/youth at risk, peace organizations, international conflicts, conflicted places, victims of hate crimes, and veterans as part of its many service projects.
